Where your donations go
The Poetry in Progress group appreciates your donation.
We are an entirely volunteer organization and make no profit on donations or income. Our motto is, "Building community and culture through Poetry." We spend all contributions in support of our numerous activities such as:
- Open mic events
- Community events such as the Family Farm Festival at Nance Farm
- Regional poetry writing challenges and events such as the Pleasant Run Poetry Write
- Special events to encourage the witing and enjoyment of poetry such as Jane Austen Night
- Publicising our group to make it known to surrounding communities
- Providing a venue and equipment for our monthly meetings
- Providing resources for special projects such as preparation of a book collection of our poems
